PancakeSwap, one of the most popular decentralized exchanges (DEX), has released the PancakeSwap Gaming Marketplace to tap into the endless potential of GameFi.
The new platform aims to become a dedicated gaming hub for gamers, game builders, and community members to play, build, and connect, according to the firm’s latest post. Initially, PancakeSwap Gaming Marketplace will have two games: Pancake Protectors and Pancake Mayor.
Introduced in May 2023, Pancake Protectors is PancakeSwap’s flagship game in collaboration with GameFi protocol Mobox. Pancake Mayor is a new free-to-play city-building game developed by blockchain game builder BinaryX. The exchange also plans to roll out more games in the near future.
Most of the games on the marketplace will be integrated with CAKE, PancakeSwap-powered token. The platform promises to unlock more benefits to CAKE holders as they delve into each game. CAKE token surged 30% following the launch.
In addition to exploring different gaming experiences, the marketplace focuses on providing game creators with a complete infrastructure to turn their creativity into real games. PancakeSwap gaming hub enables individuals with inspirational ideas to propose, design, or build their games. Users can also give feedback to improve/upgrade a game project. These will help them establish presence, enhance credibility in the ecosystem, and potentially reach 1.5 million monthly audiences.
PancakeSwap currently supports nine chains, including BNB Chain, Ethereum, Aptos, Polygon zkEVM, zkSync Era, Arbitrum, Linea, Base, and opBNB.
